Terms of Use
Effective 29 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and VECTRA. By creating an account or using vectra.arsyadarref.com, you agree to them. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.
1. About VECTRA
VECTRA is a Final Year Project (PSM) at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka, operated by Arsyad Arref. It connects engineering students and graduates, lecturers, universities and companies in Malaysia. Because it is a student project, the companies, openings, reviews and talent shown as examples are fictional demo data, and the service may change, pause or end.
2. Who can use it
You must be 18 or older, or have a parent's or guardian's consent. You must give accurate information and use the role that fits you:
- Students and graduates sign up for themselves. Use your university email if you want your records verified.
- Lecturers use a university or company email address, not a free one such as Gmail.
- Companies are registered by someone allowed to act for the company, using a company email address.
3. Your account
- One account per person. Don't share your login or sign in as someone else.
- Keep your password safe and tell us at arsyadarref.official@gmail.com if you think someone else used your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Company owners must hand over or close their company first.
4. Your content
You own what you add: your profile, skills, projects, evidence, company page and openings. You let VECTRA store it and show it to the people your settings allow, only to run the service. You are responsible for having the right to upload it, and for it being true.
5. Verification badges
- “Verified by” a university means that university's career office uploaded and approved the record.
- “Verified” on a skill or project means the named lecturer reviewed the evidence and approved it.
- “Self-declared” means nobody has checked it yet.
- “Verified Company” means the VECTRA team has checked the company.
Badges record who confirmed what and when. VECTRA does not independently check every record, and a badge is not a guarantee of a person's ability or a company's conduct. Lecturers must approve only work they can genuinely vouch for.
6. Companies, openings and licences
- Company pages, job posts and the applicant pipeline are free, with up to 4 HR seats. Openings must be real, lawful roles with accurate details, including the allowance or salary where stated.
- A university licence lets your team search one university's students who have turned on search, and open their full profiles, for one year. Prices aren't published; the VECTRA team agrees the licence with you separately, and payment is not handled in VECTRA.
- You may use candidates' data only to recruit for your company, in line with the PDPA. Don't copy, export or share it for any other purpose, and don't contact people who haven't applied to you unless they have made their profile visible to you.
7. Things you must not do
- Post false, misleading, offensive or unlawful content, or someone else's work as your own.
- Request, give or trade endorsements you know are false.
- Post fake openings, ask applicants for money, or collect their data for anything other than hiring.
- Scrape, copy in bulk, or reverse-engineer VECTRA, or try to get around its security or privacy settings.
- Upload malware, or overload or disrupt the service.
We may remove content or suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and will tell you why where we can.
8. No guarantee of jobs or availability
VECTRA helps people find and assess each other; it is not an employer or recruitment agency, and doesn't guarantee interviews, offers or hires. Decisions are made by the companies and candidates themselves. The service is provided “as is” and may have errors or downtime.
9. Liability
To the extent the law of Malaysia allows, VECTRA and its operator are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by what users post or decide, including hiring decisions. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Malaysian law that cannot be limited.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell signed-in users in VECTRA. If you keep using VECTRA after a change, the new terms apply.
11. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Questions: arsyadarref.official@gmail.com.
